Junior Speed & Agility Holiday Program

Our two week school holiday program is for any junior athlete wanting to improve their speed & agility.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

Your junior athlete will complete 6 sessions across a 2 week period. Each session runs for 60 minutes, and has a specific focus:

SESSION 1

WHEN: Monday 18th September, 9:30am

WHERE: Ringwood Athletics Track

WHAT: Initial 20m sprint testing, linear mechanics, linear speed drills, acceleration and deceleration cues

SESSION 2

WHEN: Wednesday 20th September, 9:30am

WHERE: Kinetic Sports Performance

WHAT: Teaching fundamental movement patterns to develop speed specific strength & explosive power

SESSION 3

WHEN: Friday 22nd September, 9:30am

WHERE: Walker Park, Nunawading

WHAT: Field based session focussing on conditioning, on-field athletic development and skill specific drills

SESSION 4

WHEN: Monday 25th September, 9:30am

WHERE: Walker Park, Nunawading

WHAT: Field based session focussing on conditioning, on-field athletic development and skill specific drills

SESSION 5

WHEN: Wednesday 27th September, 9:30am

WHERE: Kinetic Sports Performance

WHAT: Cementing the fundamentals workshop, mobility drills & power development

SESSION 6

WHEN: Friday 29th September, 9:30am

WHERE: Ringwood Athletics Track

WHAT: Lateral/change of direction mechanics workshop, lateral speed development, 20m sprint re-testing

SAM ALLEN

Like many other young kids, I grew up passionate about playing sport at a very high level, and having spent time in a number of high performance environments, I understand what it takes to get to that next level.

I am a Performance Coach and Exercise Scientist. I do what I do to give young kids the opportunity to better themselves as people and as athletes, in order to help them reach the highest possible level of competition that they aspire to pursue.

With experience working alongside both junior and senior athletes from local footballers, to national frisbee players, to international basketballers, and sporting organisations such as the St Kilda Football Club, I’ve seen what makes a number of successful athletes tick, they all have a fierce drive to get better every single day.

No, in order to see genuine improvements to your child's speed & agility, they'll need to complete the 2 week program in its entirety.

In the event of bad weather, we will run the session in our facility at Kinetic Sports Performance.

We take athletes from ages of 11 onwards, however if your child is younger we are happy to assess your application on a case by case basis.

Our track sessions are at Ringwood Athletics Track, Ringwood. Our field sessions are at Walker Park, Nunawading. Our gym sessions are at Kinetic Sports Performance, Mitcham. All locations are within 5 minutes of each other.
